Why is the Mac App Store version older than the version on your website?
At the time of writing this article, the version of Clarify in the Mac App Store is version 1.1.3 while the version available from our website is 1.2.0.
In the summer of 2012 the Mac App Store started requiring submitted applications to be Sandboxed. Sandboxing is a feature on OS X that can help protect your computer from malicious software. Unfortunately we ran into some technical hurdles while trying to sandbox Clarify and we haven't been able to clear those hurdles yet.
If you purchase Clarify through the Mac App Store and would like access to the latest version just email [email protected] with your MAS receipt and we will issue you a key for the version from our website. You can then use the version from our website until we are able to update the Mac App Store version again.
