Hi,
There are two features that would be really useful and that I miss when working with Clarify.

One would be a little magnification window following your mouse around which would make it much easier to select exactly what you need. I know it's possible to crop later, but when I'm using repeated selection of the same part of the screen, I obviously don't want to crop over and over again, I want the initial selection to be right.

The other very useful feature would be to be able to move the selection around pixel by pixel using cursor keys, and resize it using shift-cursor (or whatever you decided was appropriate).

Clarify is great as is, but these improvements would make it that little bit better and more usable.

Kind regards,

Marko

@Marko I agree that the magnification window would be very useful. You can already use the arrow keys to move the capture selection box around 1 pixel at a time. If you use the shift key then it moves 10 pixels.

Hi ,

I could not take the screenshot in the Full Screen in Mac ML. Such as Chrome in fullscreen.

Trevor DeVore

@Lloyd - We are aware of this issue. At this time Clarify does not support capturing apps that are in full screen mode.

Is there a way to scroll the window you're capturing? For instance, I'd like to capture part of a browser window that's longer than my screen.

Trevor DeVore

@jesse - not at this time.

Is there a way to switch app, possible to switch to a different workspace, while snapping? Seems like you should be able to Cmd-Tab while in snap mode.

Trevor DeVore

@Steve - there is not. When you activate capture then the current screen is "frozen" with what was visible at the time. If you want to activate capture and then switch spaces you would need to use the timer.

Great program. Is there any way to set the default text that is placed in the box above each capture (where the window name is inserted by default). I would like to blank this out for each capture in my document without having to do it one by one in the final document.

Trevor DeVore

Hi Steve,

No, there isn't a way to specify what (if anything) should appear in the step title after you capture.

The fastest way to delete the titles would be to edit the step titles in the left sidebar and use the tab key to quickly go through each one and press the delete key.

Magda

The first screenshot states: "You can also choose to use the status menu or keyboard shortcut to start the capture."

What is the keyboard shortcut? PrtScn does not work.

Thanks!

Trevor DeVore

@Magda Go to Edit > Preferences to configure keyboard shortcut. You will need Clarify 2 in order to configure Printscreen to work, however. Clarify 1 can't configure Printscreen.
